Kelly A. O'Malley, PhD, ABPP Clinical Psychologist Board Certified in Geropsychology
Welcome—I’m glad you’re here.

I have dedicated my career to training, educating, and supporting older adults and their care partners, in order to promote health and well-being across the lifespan.

My extensive expertise includes behavioral interventions for dementia-related behaviors, family caregiver psychotherapy and intervention, comprehensive training for nursing home staff, trauma-informed care, and implementation of Federal policies supporting family caregivers.

I am committed to supporting individuals, their loved ones, and facilities in embracing a path of healthy aging.

My experience also extends to hospice and palliative care and addressing late-life and end-of-life post-traumatic stress disorder. I am a recognized leader in trauma-informed care (TIC) in long-term care settings, with a strong record of peer-reviewed publications in this area.

I have successfully guided facilities in achieving recognition with the Long-Term Care Equality Index, the national benchmark for LGBTQ+ inclusive senior housing and long-term care communities.

Building on my valuable experience in long-term care and sub-acute rehabilitation settings within the Department of Veterans Affairs, I am eager to share my expertise with my local community.

My approach is collaborative, practical, and grounded in evidence-based practices. Whether you are facing a major life change, caring for a loved one, or seeking tools to live with greater balance and purpose, I offer a safe and supportive space to explore your goals and challenges.

I am thankful to have shared some of my challenging geriatric and hospice cases over the last five years with Dr. O’Malley. She has provided excellent psychological care and has done so much more too.
